Microsurgery
The application of high-power optics is the basis for
microsurgery. Microsurgery in female infertility is primarily
used for tubal reanastosomosis in order to reverse a previous
tubal ligation. Microsurgery allows the use of very fine
sutures so that the delicate inner lining of the fallopian
tube is not disrupted. Pelvic adhesions represent the formation
of scar tissue in the pelvic cavity.
